Salacia Prime Seafood & Steaks offers an award-winning surf and turf menu with oceanfront views from the Hilton Hotel. Guests can enjoy locally sourced meats and seasonal seafood dishes, created by Executive Chef Kyle Woodruff, which pair well with their exceptional wine list.

THE PROBLEM:

Hilton Virginia Beach needed a more streamlined and simplified way to keep their restaurant sites up to date. SalaciaVB.com was not easily maintained or quickly updated, both of which are necessary for a client maintaining multiple sites.

Consolidation of 3rd party integrations for easier management

THE SOLUTION:

A strategy session helped to determine what elements of the current site needed to be removed, and how to improve the user experience for ADA Compliance. Systems were put into place to make the salaciavb.com easier for the client to update on a regular basis.

Website Accessibility

  • Technical and visual improvements were made, and assistive tools were put in place help SalaciaVB.com meet ADA Compliance standards
  • Monthly scanning and reporting help to ensure that any issues that may crop up over time are quickly found and resolved.
  • Font size and color contrast toggles were added so visually impaired users can adjust their view of the site further as needed.

 

Drag-and-Drop Front End Editing

  • Site managers no longer have to edit code to make content and design changes to each page
  • Editing is quick and easy with the drag-and-drop visual editor
  • Saved rows and templates allow for efficient page building
  • Changes are seen as they are done, without having to open the page in a new window to preview before publishing

Consolidation and Clean Up

  • Un-needed 3rd party integrations were removed for a cleaner site and easier management
  • Functionality that could be handled within the site itself was consolidated from outside sources so there are less accounts to manage and update
